Deacon Rick Lanciano
Permanent Deacon


Deacon Rick (Frederick) Lanciano is married to Sheryl, and they have 5 children and 7 grandchildren.

Deacon Rick is the former Chairman of the Theology Department at Berks Catholic High School. While there he taught courses on Ecumenism and
Interreligious Dialogue, Socratic Logic, Catholic Apologetics and Marriage and Christian Vocation.

Deacon Rick holds a Master of Arts Degree in Sacred Scripture from St.
Charles Borromeo Seminary. He also holds a Diploma for Catechesis granted
through the Sacred Congregation for the Clergy and a Certificate in Catholic
Religious Studies granted by St. Charles Seminary.

Deacon Lanciano was ordained in April of 2015, and he is assigned to St.
Ignatius Loyola Parish, West Lawn, PA. His ministries at St. Ignatius include RCIA and the Catholic Women’s Club of Reading.

He is currently serving as the Parish Coordinator at St. Francis de Sales parish in Robesonia, and as Assistant to the Director of Permanent Diaconate Formation in the Diocese of Allentown.
