
Rev. John Pendzick

Father John Pendzick was born in Long Island, N.Y. His family moved to Allentown where he grew up and went to school at St Thomas More grade school and Allentown Central Catholic H.S. Inspired by good priests, his family’s faith, and youth retreats he applied to the priesthood in the diocese of Allentown. He has a degree in Philosophy from St. Charles Seminary in Philadelphia and was the first class to participate in the “Spirituality Year” at Mary Immaculate Seminary. He has a Masters degree in Moral Theology from St. Charles Seminary and was ordained a priest in 1997. He was assigned first to St. Margaret Church in Reading then as an assistant at Holy Guardian Angels where he was involved in the building of the new school, gym, and chapel. After one year of residence at St. Peter’s Church, Reading and chaplain at (then) Holy Name H.S. he was assigned to St. Jane Frances de Chantel in Easton. Other assignments include pastor at Our Lady Help of Christians, Allentown, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Whitehall, and St. Thomas More, Allentown.
Father John is an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and also loves cheering for the Phillies. He loves to read, golf, cook, walk, play tennis, and spend time with family.
