St. Ignatius Youth Group Invites You!

Youth Ministry is a vital part of the church today –
that's why here at St. Ignatius Loyola we have a newly-
formed High School Youth Group.  There’s no doubt
that you are facing changes and challenges every day –
why not spend time connecting with other high school
students through fellowship and faith!  We personally
invite you to attend the events listed – we’ve also
included a brief explanation of the evenings below.
There is no commitment – come to any or all of the
evenings scheduled. Bring a friend and experience for
yourself…that’s the best way to know if this is for you!
If you would like to be placed on the e-mail list for
future dates and activities, please contact David Kuhns,
Director of Youth Ministry, at
dkuhns@stignatiusreading.org, with your name and
parents e-mail address.

Activity Nights:
Nights where the youth are invited to take part in
games, fellowship, faith, and snacks.

Homework, Dinner, Praise Nights:
This is an evening offered every second Thursday of the
month when the High School youth are invited to bring
their homework and share in dinner together.
Following dinner the youth are encouraged to attend a
prayer and praise service in the chapel. Homework and
dinner will be held in the John Paul II Room in the
Church.

“Created for Love” Series:
Using a mix of stories, real-life examples, activities,
discussions, and references to the culture you
understand, Theology of the Body for Teens presents
Pope John Paul II’s compelling vision for love and life.
Far from a list of rules and “don’ts” this series will give
you a guidebook to help answer the fundamental
questions of life, such as: Why did God give us sexual
desires?  What is the difference between love and lust?
How far is “too far”? These evenings will include
snacks and social time!

Steubenville Youth Conference:
A weekend retreat  where hundreds of High School
students from all over the country gather to learn about
and discuss their faith. There will be dynamic speakers,
great music, and amazing opportunities to share
fellowship not only with youth in our parish but also
with youth from all over the country.
