| St. Ignatius Loyola Parish Vacation school Vacation Bible School is an extension of the St. Ignatius Loyola School K4J Program. It is a completely Catholic Bible School; it is written by Catholics for Catholics. The catechesis involved in VBS includes learning about a different saint each day, visiting Jesus in the Eucharist, developing virtues that will last a lifetime and helping those in need. Our dedicated efforts to teach almsgiving has allowed us to provide funds for Opportunity House in downtown Reading, Lifeline, a member of our parish family pursuing his calling to be a priest and a mission in Belize. VBS is a program for 4-9 year old "campers". Each day, from 9AM-Noon, the children are entertained through skits, crafts, music, snacks, mission and games. Older children, teens and young adults are encouraged to help lead as Junior Captains, Captains, and Teen Leaders. This is a great way to earn service hours. Held every summer beginning the Monday after the Parish Picnic and ending with Mass the first Friday of August. Visit www.k4j.org for even more information! Volunteer with us! The VBS materials come directly from the K4J company, so it is a simple, flexible formula to follow. If you are looking for a way to become more involved with the Parish, enjoy working with children and would like to meet great people, Vacation Bible School is the perfect fit. We always welcome new people to help out with the many facets of making this year even better than last year. Because each day is themed, each station fits perfectly with the others in order to help everyone remember all the lessons learned. How to Help... Choose what fits your interests best:
