St. Ignatius Seniors

The next general meeting of the St. Ignatius Seniors will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at 10:00 AM
in the Parish Education Center Meeting Rooms.  In keeping with the observance of Veteran’s Day a few days
later, our program will be presented by Mr. Felix Uhrinek, who retired from the National Guard in 1972, with the
rank of Colonel.

Mr. Uhrinek joined the Army after Pearl Harbor, and served in Europe in the 774th Armored Tank Battalion, being
discharged with the rank of Sergeant Major in 1945.  He will describe his vivid experiences in the 1944 Battle of
the Bulge in western Europe.  This was one of the most costly campaigns for both the German and US forces in
World War II.  His recounting of this battle will have you glued to your chair.

Remember to bring a donation of non-perishable food or paper products to the meeting for distribution to the
needy by the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
